West Indies vs England, 4th ODI, Live Cricket

March 29th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in England, Live Cricket Streaming, Live Matches, One Day Match, West Indies

West Indies lead the series 2-1 and had it not Dyson misread the D/L sheet WI may have won the series already. Anyways going by the current England form, series win for WI is very much possible unless England turn it out around. They (England team) are already feeling terrible and morally down and few even said they want to get back home as soon as they can and with such an attitude it won’t be easy to come back.

West Indies vs England, 2nd Test, Day 1, live cricket streaming

February 13th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in England, Live Cricket Streaming, Live Matches, Test Match, West Indies

West Indies have won the toss and will bowl. Andrew Strauss says he’ll have batted anyway, so he’s non-plussed but the decision.

Owais Shah replaces Ian Bell and James Anderson is in for Steve Harmison. Changes are utterly afoot. Ryan Hinds replaces Xavier Marshall but there are no other changes (other than a shift in the batting order) for West Indies.

West Indies team
CH Gayle, DS Smith, RR Sarwan, S Chanderpaul, BP Nash, RO Hinds, D Ramdin, JE Taylor, SJ Benn, DBL Powell, FH Edwards

England team
AJ Strauss, OA Shah, AN Cook, KP Pietersen, PD Collingwood, A Flintoff, MJ Prior, SCJ Broad, RJ Sidebottom, MS Panesar, JM Anderson

West Indies vs England, 1st Test, Day 4, Watch Live Cricket Match

It’s been a gripping 3rd day. We’ve had hundreds from Gayle and Sarwan; reviews, referrals and controversy with technology. Stuart Broad fought back with three very impressive wickets, and Panesar gradually improved too. Still, it is West Indies who have the lead – albeit only a slender 34, with three wickets in the bag.

West Indies vs England Day 3 Highlights 1st Test

February 7th, 2009 Comments Off Posted in England, Match Highlights, Test Match, West Indies

Watch cricket highlights – West Indies vs England 1st Test 3rd day, played at Sabina Park Jamaica on Feb 7, 2009.

Scoreline: West Indies 352/7. Chris Gayle 104, Ramnaresh Sarwan 107, Denesh Ramdin 35, Brendan Nash 47 no.

Not out batsmen from Day 2, Chris Gayle and Sarwan got to their hundreds but both fell soon after, leaving WI a little shaky before Ramdin and Nash stuck it all together again. Denesh Ramdin (as he often does) played some stunning shots before getting out (as he often does) in the 30s. Brendan Nash took a couple of steps towards removing questions whether he is Australian or Jamaican through an intense contest with Andrew Flintoff, which Nash temporarily won playing spectacular fine shots to third man, even when a halfway-down fielder was placed there.

Useful contributions from tailenders helped England to cross 300 mark and West Indies has done a good job making sure they don’t lose too many wickets. Both Sarwan and Gayle are in 70’s and look set for big scores, they just need to make sure they don’t throw away wicket like Flintoff yesterday and rest of the batting line up should help WI to gain lead in 1st innings.Flintoff and KP will be on cloud 9 after earning a price tag of 1.55 million and I guess they will be dreaming about the money all day long today.

West Indies vs England, 1st Test, Day 2, Live Cricket

A magnificent 97 from Kevin Pietersen, after the early loss of the openers, put them in a strong position before he holed out attempting glory – but the real stabilising force has been Andrew Flintoff, who twice starred in fifty partnerships.

West Indies vs England, 1st Test, Day 1, Live Cricket

Even though England lost against India,  I would say they had a pretty decent series against India during last December and lot has changed since then mainly leadership. Differences between both KP and Moores should have been handled better by ECB but they just want to prove they are boss and made some rubbish announcements forcing both KP and Moores to quit themselves. Anyways Strauss, one of the contenders for captaincy after Michael Vaughan retired will be leading the side during this England tour of West Indies.

West Indies did pretty well against New Zealand early this year and managed to move up by one position in ICC Rankings. They got some new faces (they keep changing the team most) and will be hoping to do well at home.

Most bizarre dismissal ever in Cricket

December 3rd, 2008 Comments Off Posted in Cricket Videos

In the match between West Indies vs England. Bravo bowled a short pitch delivery to Kevin Pieterson. Pieterson tried to hook the ball but the ball hits his helmet and the helmet falls on the wicket and he was hit out.
