Herschelle Gibbs & AB de Villiers vs Australia – 4th ODI
Watch a cricket video of Gibbs (110) and de Villiers (84) setting up South Africa’s ODI series win in the 4th ODI at Port Elizabeth.
Scores: SA reach 317. Gibbs 110 (116), de Villiers 84 (74). Aus 256 all out. SA lead the series 3-1 with a game to go.
Herschelle Gibbs had threatened this right through the SA tour of Australia and the current 2009 tour, while de Villiers has anyway been in super form. It wasn’t the most perfect Gibbs knock with Mitchell Johnson troubling him early on – but he got through that phase, smacked it around, lost his head occasionally, then regained it and eventually produced a series defining knock in the company of de Villiers whose contempt for Australian spin bowlers continued in this game. Super cricket that’s worth a watch, even if you’re an Aussie fan.

ICC World Twenty20 Cricket Cup Cricket 2007 in South Africa India Vs Pakistan Final Match Highlights
India has dramatically pulled off a narrow 5 run victory over Pakistan to win the ICC World Twenty20. Pakistan lost an early wicket in their pursuit but Imran Nazir looked in blazing form as he hit the Indian bowlers to all ends of the park. But a brilliant run-out from Uthappa got rid of Nazir and some tight bowling from all the bowlers put pressure on the batsmen. Pakistan skipper Shoaib Malik succumbed to this pressure. Irfan Pathan removed Malik and the dangerous Shahid Afridi in the same over to reduce Pakistan to 77-6 as Irfan finished with figures of 3-16. But Misbah-ul-Haq was in no mood to quit as he hit a quickfire 43 which included four sixes. But wickets fell around him and in the end the pressure got to him and he lost his wicket handing India a thrilling victory that they will treasure for the time to come.
