ICL Hyderabad Heroes vs Royal Bengal Tigers, 34th Match, Highlights
Hyderabad Heroes were chasing a target of 112 runs set by the Royal Bengal Tigers. Heroes lost their opener Abdul Razzaq on score of 11 runs in fourth over itself.
But nothing was lost, as it was a one-sided encounter. The set target was easily achieved and Heroes made it to the victory without loss of any batsman further, in 15 overs itself.
They won the match with a handsome run-rate of 7.38 runs per over.
Hyderabad Heroes’ Ibrahim Khaleel hit half century that helped the Heroes to win the match.
Khaleel made speedy 54 of 46 balls.
Earlier, Royal Bengal Tigers were made to bat first after they lost the toss.
The Bengal Tigers made a disastrous opening. Tigers lost Deep Das Gupta on 5 runs in second over.
The fall of wickets didn’t halt there. The Tigers kept loosing wickets at frequent intervals and none of their batsmen could set a big score.
Apart from Craig McMillan, Lance Klusener and Upul Chandana, no other batsman could even make a double digit score.
The fall of Tigers ball after ball, allowed the match to go in the favor of Heroes.
The whole team of Royal Bengal Tigers was out at a meager score of 111 runs in 19.4 overs.
Inder Shekar Reddy was given man of the match for his successful spell of 3 wickets in 3.4 overs.

ICL Chandigarh Lions vs Royal Bengal Tigers, 22nd Match Highlights
Oct 28, 2008, Tue (ICL Match 22) Royal Bengal Tigers lost to Chandigarh Lions by eight wickets with 2.3 overs to spare in a day and night encounter at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurgaon on Tuesday.
Lions opener Tejinder Pal Singh, with his knock of 74 runs off 48 balls, took his team to an emphatic victory over Tigers.
His knock contained eight boundaries and two sixes.
Lions got off to a flying start as Sarabjit Singh (19) and Tejinder put on 53 runs for the first wicket off 7.1 overs.
Sarbajit was caught in the deep by Sagar Singh off Eklak.
Manish Sharma (25), who came in at this stage, kept the rhythm going with Tejinder, but he also holed out to Ahmid at boundary off Chandana when the Lions were on 92.
Then, Tejinder and Lou Vincent (14) steered their team to victory without losing any further wickets.
Earlier, Royal Bengal Tigers, who were put into bat by Chandigarh Lions, lost their opener Deep Dasgupta (5) cheaply to Darryl Tuffey caught behind by wicketkeeper Sarabjit Singh
But the other opener Hamish Marshall, in particular, and Rajiv Kumar (14) stabilized their innings putting on 62 runs for the second wicket.
Marshall, however, got out trying to slog Tuffey only to give a catch to Love Ablish.
He made 57 off 34 balls with eight boundaries and two sixes and got out when the score of Tigers was 100.
After addition of just one run, skipper Craig McMillan (1) and Rohan Gavaskar (17) fell to Tejinder of successive balls putting Tigers on back foot.
Andre Adams (9), Shiv Sagar Singh (2), Upul Chandana (3) and Abu Nechim (1) fell quickly frittering away the good start given by Marshall.
Lance Klusener remained unbeaten on 18 and Eklak Ahmid on one as Tigers ended their innings on 140 for nine in their stipulated 20 overs.
Karanveer Singh was the most expensive bowler for Lions conceding 30 runs off three overs. Hall, Tuffey, Ablish and Tejinder shared two wickets each.
Tejinder Pal Singh was awarded the ‘man of the match’ for his important knock and two wickets while bowling.
ICL Ahmedabad Rockets beats Royal Bengal Tigers, 15th, Match Highlights
Oct 22, 2008, Wed (ICL Match 15) Ahmedabad Rockets registered one of the easiest victories of this ICL 2008 as they beat Royal Bengal Tigers by in a day and night encounter at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium at Ahmedabad on Wednesday.
Bhima Rao, who bowled an excellent spell conceding only 15 runs and claimed four wickets, and openers Murray Goodwin and Ryan Campbell helped Rockets register an easy win over Tigers.
Royal Bengal Tigers, who won the toss and elected to bat, were all out for 131 in the last ball of their stipulated 20 overs.
They lost their first wicket in Deep Dasgupta, who was bowled by Rakesh Patel, for 11 runs when their score was 31.
Opener Hamish Marshall, looking dangerous again, was unluckily run out for 20 off just 16 balls.
In-form Craig McMillan (21), Rohan Gavaskar (15) and Lance Klusener started off well, but could not sustain their run. None of the other batsmen got any starts.
This caused Tigers, who were 98 for four at one stage, to lose their last six wickets for just 33 runs.
Sumit Kalia was the most expensive bowler for Rockets conceding 38 runs off four overs.
Ahmedabad Rockets got off to a flying start as they scored 58 runs off just five overs.
Both openers Goodwin and Campbell were looking in good nick as they did not spare any of the Tigers bowlers.
They also put in the first century partnership of this ICL tournament. They achieved this feat in only 8.5 overs.
Campbell (66) was looking more ominous as he scored two sixes and a four in one over of Shiv Sagar Singh. His innings, which came off only 35 balls, comprised eight boundaries and four sixes.
Goodwin’s 61 runs came off in 38 balls and contained 10 boundaries and a six.
Bhima Rao, who bowled an excellent spell and also instrumental in running out Marshall, won the ‘man of the match award’.
ICL Mumbai Champs Lose to Royal Bengal Tigers, 11th, Match Highlights
October 19 (ICL Match 11) Royal Bengal Tigers beat in a closely contested day and night encounter played at the Sardar Vallabhai Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad on Sunday.
In a day and night encounter, Royal Bengal Tigers won the toss elected to bat and scored 170 runs.
Opener Hamish Marshall gave a flying start to the Tigers by scoring 55 off 38 balls. His knock included four boundaries and three sixes.
The bowling attack of Mumbai Champions didn’t prove to be much effective as only four wickets fell in the entire innings of Tigers.
Avinash Yadav, who gave 40 runs and took 2 wickets, proved the most costly bowler for Mumbai Champs.
The Tigers though lost their 4 wickets at frequent intervals before the innings ended.
Rohan Gavaskar scored a blistering 30 runs in just 12 balls helping Tigers to attain a decent run rate of 8.5.
Lance Klusener also scored 30 off 21 balls and remained unbeaten alongside Gavaskar.
This pair put on 49 runs for the fifth wicket.
Mumbai Champs lost an early wicket in Opener Taufeeq Umar, who was out for a duck when his team also did not get off the mark.
Nathan Astle and the other opener Dheeraj Yadav stabilized Champs innings as both put on 55 runs for the second wicket.
But, Nathan Astle, who was batting well on 32 off 31 balls, played an ambitious shot only to be caught by Abhishek Jhunjhunwala off Andre Adams.
Three more quick wickets only added to Mumbai team’s woes, with Eklak Ahmid picking up two.
However, late counter-attack by Johan van der Wath (35) and Subhojit Paul’s 32 off 14 balls raised the Champs hopes off wining the match.
Abu Nechim bowling the last over took two wickets and helped the Tigers win by 12 runs.
Rohan Gavaskar was named the ‘man of the match’.
