Watch Highlights 32nd match: Deccan Chargers v Mumbai Indians at Centurion, May 6, 2009

Watch cricket highlights – Mumbai Indians vs Deccan Chargers from IPL 2009 – the 2nd game between the two in season 2.

Scoreline: Deccan Chargers 145/6: Rohit Sharma 38 – RP Singh 4-19-2
Mumbai Indians 126/8: JP Duminy 52 – Rohit Sharma 2-6-4 including a hattrick

Tendulkar says Mumbai’s bowlers did well but the batsmen didn’t reciprocate. Says Shah did his well as pinch hitter.

Gilchrist says Deccan would have liked some more runs and says he was foolish with the bat. But credits the batsmen who hung on and then the spinners who protected a decent score. Says this is a big win. A special shout out to Harris for that catch at third man and the ball to get Tendulkar. Says Rohit was ‘outstanding’ and ‘unbelievable’.

Few surprises that Rohit is Man of the Match. His 38 was Deccan’s best score and then came a hat-trick. Really a good evening for him. He says the pitch wasn’t that easy to bat on but smiles when he talks about his bowling.

IPL 2009 28th match Highlights : Royal Challengers Bangalore v Mumbai Indians at Johannesburg, May 3, 2009

Mumbai Indians 149/4 (20/20 ov)
Bangalore 150/1 (18.1/20 ov)
ST Jayasuriya 85 DJ Bravo 50*   D du Preez 32/3
JH Kallis  69*  RV Uthappa 66*

 Match Report

Kallis came out like a man possessed as he ripped apart Malinga in his first over. Uthappa was all over the place as he prodded and poked around before the break. Then something happened to him as he came out firing on all cylinders to belt the ball to all parts of the ground. Infact Uthappa hit the longest six so far in this year’s IPL against Bravo which went 113 metres. It was a cakewalk in the end for the RCB. A throughly professional performance.

It was one of the most convincing wins in this year’s IPL. Rewind to the MI innings as Dillon du Preez made a dream debut as he picked up three quick wickets to rock MI. Then Bravo and Nayar batted brilliantly to help the MI to 149. It was never enough on a belter of a wicket.

Match Highlights of 20th match: Kings XI Punjab v Mumbai Indians at Durban, Apr 29 2009

Watch cricket highlights – Mumbai Indians vs Punjab Kings XI from IPL 2009 played on April 29.

Scoreline: Mohali 119/8: Kumar Sangakkara 45 (44) – Lasith Malinga 4-12-2
Mumbai 116/7: JP Duminy 59 – Yusuf Abdulla 4-19-2, Powar 4-23-1

Tendulkar: "After the first half we were in a good position to win. But we lost early wickets and all credit to Punjab. You need partnerships but they just didn’t come. We lost wickets in a flurry."

Yuvraj: "I was nervous. We wanted to bowl Piyush in the 19th over to get the left-hander out. The wicket had turned slow, and therefore we used more spinners. Yusuf bowled a very good last over."

Sangakkara is the Man of the Match

Sanga: "I almost went with Yusuf in the penultimate over, but Chawla is one of the best legspinners from India. He came up and asked me if he could bowl, and did the job. The pitch was a little two paced and we fielded brilliantly. Everyone chipped in and it was a team effort."
