Finally Pakistan made a consolation win beating Australia in their final ODI. Kamran Akmal made an unbeaten 116 and Misbah made unbeaten 76 to seal the victory for Pakistan. Since already  Australia had won the series it was a dead rubber match. Kamran Akmal got the man of the match for this match.

Akmal gets his Man of the Match award. " Misbah encouraged me. We clicked at the right time. Misbah talked to me after every over."

Clarke is the Man of the Series.

Younis: "The spinners did the job for us first. It was a team effort. We were talking about rotate the strike before the chase. They finished very well. Kamran has always done the job at the top of the order. I have learnt a lot from the Aussies in this series about handling pressure. This is a young team and they are gelling well."

Clarke: "It was another great. Full credit to Pakistan. With 250 we were still confident, we let ourselves down in the field. Watson deserved his century. I will return home so I will miss the Twenty20. Few of the guys will have a round of golf tomorrow."

IPL 2009 28th match Highlights : Royal Challengers Bangalore v Mumbai Indians at Johannesburg, May 3, 2009

Mumbai Indians 149/4 (20/20 ov)
Bangalore 150/1 (18.1/20 ov)
ST Jayasuriya 85 DJ Bravo 50*   D du Preez 32/3
JH Kallis  69*  RV Uthappa 66*

 Match Report

Kallis came out like a man possessed as he ripped apart Malinga in his first over. Uthappa was all over the place as he prodded and poked around before the break. Then something happened to him as he came out firing on all cylinders to belt the ball to all parts of the ground. Infact Uthappa hit the longest six so far in this year’s IPL against Bravo which went 113 metres. It was a cakewalk in the end for the RCB. A throughly professional performance.

It was one of the most convincing wins in this year’s IPL. Rewind to the MI innings as Dillon du Preez made a dream debut as he picked up three quick wickets to rock MI. Then Bravo and Nayar batted brilliantly to help the MI to 149. It was never enough on a belter of a wicket.
