Highlights of IPL 2009 42nd match: Kings XI Punjab v Mumbai Indians at Centurion, May 12, 2009
Watch cricket highlights – Kings XI Punjab vs Mumbai Indians Highlights – the 2nd Leg from IPL 2009
Mumbai Indians 122 for 2 (Bravo 70*, Tendulkar 41*) beat Kings XI Punjab 119 for 9 (Sohal 43, Duminy 2-15) by 8 wickets
Yuvraj : "We didn’t bat properly, except for Sunny. We didn’t have enough runs on the board, we needed at least 150, Harbhajn, Duminy and Malinga bowled well and didn’t give us opportunities to score, and Bravo played an amazing knock. We got to win all our games now, we have plenty of areas to work on." That was pretty candid from the Kings XI Punjab captain.
Sachin Tendulkar: Harbhajan and JP brought us back in the game, and we took some brilliant catches. We took wickets at regular intervals, that was the key to our success. Nothing work like victory, your body language becomes different, your intensity is different.
"We just wanted to change things at the top, and take the opposition by surprise, and Bravo played a fantastic knock."
The Man of the Match is Harbhajan Singh. "I’m very pleased with my performance today. We fielded very well today, we were up for it, and we knew it was an important match."
"My first two balls I was trying to bowl slow, and try to spin it away from the batsmen. That really set up my spell."

IPL 2009 Live 42nd match: Kings XI Punjab v Mumbai Indians at Centurion, May 12, 2009
Both teams are out of the top four as of now, but a win will take them into the top half of the tournament. A victory for Punjab will push them up to No.4 but a defeat will see them slip one notch below. They too have tough games coming up, so staying afloat will be a challenge. They still haven’t figured out their strongest line-up, going by the number of changes in the batting. It’s time for the experimentation to end.
Yuvraj Singh wins the toss and Punjab choose to bat. At least a couple of changes in the Punjab, Luke Pomersbach and Karan Goel come in, offspinner Ramesh Powar has been left out. Mahela Jayawardene misses out.
Tendulkar says legspinner Chetanya Nanda, who had a decent outing in the game against Bangalore, sits out and seamer Rohan Raje is back.
Mumbai Indians (Playing XI): Sachin Tendulkar(c), Sanath Jayasuriya, Ajinkya Rahane, Jean-Paul Duminy, Dwayne Bravo, Abhishek Nayar, Yogesh Takawale(w), Harbhajan Singh, Rohan Raje, Dhawal Kulkarni, Lasith Malinga

41st match: Royal Challengers Bangalore v Kolkata Knight Riders at Centurion, May 12, 2009
Let us see whether Kolkata Knight Riders will win this match. There are at the bottom of the table with 1 win and also Bangla Tiger is in bench. Atleast they can check their bench strength giving chance for new players in their squad. So they can come back with a good team atleast next season IPL match.
Four changes for Kolkata: Ajantha Mendis, Angelo Mathews, David Hussey and Arindam Ghosh are in. But still no Mashrafe Mortaza. Out go Brad Hodge (surprisingly, for he has been their only performer), Sourav Sarkar, Moises Henriques and Morne van Wyk.
Bangalore have got in Ryder, as Kumble said at the toss, in place of van der Merwe. And they have got in B Akhil for Mithun.
Toss: Anil Kumble has won, and will bowl. He believes his side still has a chance to get into the last four. The big news is, Jesse Ryder will open for them.

Scoreline: Deccan Chargers 145/6: Rohit Sharma 38 – RP Singh 4-19-2
Mumbai Indians 126/8: JP Duminy 52 – Rohit Sharma 2-6-4 including a hattrick
Tendulkar says Mumbai’s bowlers did well but the batsmen didn’t reciprocate. Says Shah did his well as pinch hitter.
Gilchrist says Deccan would have liked some more runs and says he was foolish with the bat. But credits the batsmen who hung on and then the spinners who protected a decent score. Says this is a big win. A special shout out to Harris for that catch at third man and the ball to get Tendulkar. Says Rohit was ‘outstanding’ and ‘unbelievable’.
Few surprises that Rohit is Man of the Match. His 38 was Deccan’s best score and then came a hat-trick. Really a good evening for him. He says the pitch wasn’t that easy to bat on but smiles when he talks about his bowling.

Match Highlights of 31st IPL 2009 Delhi Daredevils v Kolkata Knight Riders, IPL, Durban, May 5 2009
Score Card:
Delhi Daredevils 157 for 1 (Gambhir 71*, Dilshan 42*) beat Kolkata Knight Riders 154 for 3 (van Wyk 74, Sangwan 2-29) by nine wickets
McCullum: "It’s disappointing, and for most parts of the game we were in the match, but we dropped too many catches. We fell around 20 runs short, but all three guys played exceptionally well in their team. There are some positives but it’s hard to get the momentum back when you’re losing."
Gambhir is the Man of the Match: "It was very important for us to win this game, the teams are very close in this tournament. 154 was always chaseable, and Amit Mishra and Ashish Nehra bowled well. I am not spotting the ball well, but I was happy I batted through. Dilshan, the way he has been batting this tournament, it won’t be long before he gets his orange cap."

This is 29th match of Indian Premier League Season 2.
Post-match presentation: Adam Gilchrist: "We were outplayed in all departments. We didn’t bowl badly, but they batted very well on a good batting track. And it was tough to chase, especially after the start we got.
"I’m not focussed on the semi-finals as of now, but on turning around this run (of three losses)."
MS Dhoni is the Man-of-the-Match. Dhoni: "I was struggling earlier, it affects my batting when I come in with only four-five overs to go since I’m not a batsman who can hit right from the start, that was the thinking behind promoting me. Credit to the openers for providing the platform for us to take off from.
"We need to work hard on our fielding, we have dropped catches right through the tournament, it hasn’t hurt us that much because we are scoring 160-180 but if it is a low-scoring game, we will struggle."
Chennai Super Kings 178 for 3 (Hayden 43, Dhoni 58*) beat Deccan Chargers 100 (Smith 49, Jakati 4-22) by 78 runs
