Live Cricket: India vs Australia, 4th Test Day 5 Live Scorecard

November 10th, 2008 Comments Off Posted in Border Gavaskar Trophy, Test Match

There is no way Aussies can win this match but they can Save this match if they don’t lose early wickets which means Border Gavaskar Trophy will come back home (India) anyways. Chasing 360+ on final day is not so easy that too when pitch is turning so much, Dhoni should look to attack and try to win the series 2-0 and what a humilation that will be for the top ranked test team.

Australia’s chase will depend heavily on Matthew Hayden. If today australia chases and reaches the target it will be a world record. So lets see who will finish off the match whether India or Australia.

Live Cricket : India vs Australia, 4th Test Day 4

November 9th, 2008 Comments Off Posted in Border Gavaskar Trophy, Live Matches, Test Match

Well if you wonder if you every can put pressure on batsman by setting a defensive field then yesterday’s play is an example of that. Aussies need to win this badly and Dhoni was quickly to realized this and decided to go with a defensive field and reduce the scoring rate so that Aussies has no other option except to take risks if they want to win. With 10 wickets in hand,  India should be looking to score quickly and declare an hour before the end of day (with  a lead of 350+) so they have enough time to get 10 wickets.

India Vs Australia 4th Test Day 3 Live Scorecard

November 8th, 2008 Comments Off Posted in One Day Match

On watching out yeaterdays play Australia are trying to keep their head cool and playing very slowly. They are not making any mistakes. I hope this match is turning into a boring match and a draw at the end.

Yesterday Harbajan Picked up his 300th international wicket and 200th wicket in indian soil. Debutant  JJ Krejza from Australia grabbed 8 wickets in the first innings. Lets see today who will dominate the 3rd day.

India need early wickets and if they can’t manage to do that, this might be well heading for a draw. Aussies going great at the moment with good run rate and if they continue the same till lunch without losing a wicket, chances are good that they might even get a lead and put pressure back on India. Dhoni should test his luck in 1st session and if that don’t work out then start playing defensively and bring run rate down and try to waste time which will ensure a draw and a series win :)

The day 2 of the fourth and final Test of the Border-Gavaskar trophy, completely belonged to Australians in general and debutant off-spinner Jason Krejza in particular. The tweaker from Tasmania, produced an astonishing spell in the post lunch session, snaring 5 wickets as India slipped from a commanding 422/5 to 441 all-out. The visitors then wrested the initiative from the hosts when Simon Katich, with an unbeaten 92 and Mike Hussey with 45, stitched a fine unconquered 115 partnership for the third wicket to take Australian score to 189/2 at the end of play on the second day, 260 adrift of the Indian total with 8 wickets in the kitty.
