Watch cricket highlights – Delhi Daredevils vs Punjab Kings XI – from IPL 2009 played on April 19, 2009.

Scoreline: Mohali 104/7 (12 overs), Karan Goel 38 – Daniel Vettori 3-15-3.
Delhi 58/0 in 4.5 overs – set 54 to get in 6 overs

Yuvraj SIngh: "The break after six overs didn’t help us as we lost momentum. Duckworth-Lewis gives the team batting second the advantage in these situations, Goel played well for us. Hopefully it’ll be great for him. We had a great tournament last year, and hopefully this one will be the same. Brett Lee’s working on his fitness, and as soon as he is ready, we’ll play him."
Virender Sehwag: "I just told Gambhir to bat out the overs and that I’ll go after the bowling. It’s easier for the chasing team with the rain interruptions. I was prepared for a score of 120-130 even after that good start from Punjab, as we have a good batting line-up to it down. We are hoping to play the finals here if we keep continuing like this."

Daniel Vettori is the Man of the Match, no surprises there.

Vettori: "It’s nice to have Sehwag and Gambhir in our side, after I bowled to them last series. The spinners are going to play a huge part in the tournament. Spinners have adapted better than anyone else to Twenty20 and they’ll have a major influence in this competition. We have a highly strong team, with even great players sitting out, so that says something."

Indian Premier League 3rd match: Delhi Daredevils v Kings XI Punjab at Cape Town, Apr 19, 2009 Watch IPL 2009 Live Streaming

Two interesting matches yesterday, with both finalists from the last season losing. Chennai Super Kings were undone in a competitive opener by Mumbai Indians, with Sachin Tendulkar scoring a sublime half-century. Bangalore Royal Challengers, who finished second-last in the first edition of the IPL and were dubbed a "Test team" out that tag to rest by humiliating Rajasthan Royals, skittling them out for 58. Rahul Dravid and Anil Kumble, the two veterans, were the stars for Bangalore.

Both Delhi DareDevils (Squad) and Kings XI Punjab (Squad) had great time last year and made it to semis as well. They will be hoping to go to next level this year and I think Delhi Daredevils are better placed than Kings XI Punjab to do that.

Punjab won both their games against Delhi last season. In the  first match Punjab’s fast bowlers wrecked Delhi’s top-order in Mohali to help secure a four-wicket victory in the final over. Rain affected the second game and Punjab won the game by six runs under the D-L method after Delhi had scored 118 for 4 in 11 overs.

Kings XI Punjab will miss Brett Lee, Shaun Marsh and James Hopes for first 20 days of the IPL 2009 as they are part of Australia Squad against Pakistan in Abu Dhabi. IMO Delhi DareDevils have much better balance and ample of power in batting line-up. My money will be on DareDevils but anything in possible in cricket and uncertainity is much higher in T20 cricket.

Use comments to exchange your thoughts and links. Match starts at 16:00 Hrs GMT.

Due to Wet Outfield delay it is 14 overs game.

The news is that Delhi have won the toss and opted to field.

This is must win game for ICL Bangladesh and they achieved it to stay in the ICL World Series. Aftab Ahmed and Alok Kapali played handy contributions in a five-wicket, last-over win, but it was Shahriar Nafees’ splendid unbeaten 70 from 54 balls that finished the job in tense fashion.

Bangladesh XI 165 for 5 (Nafees 70*, Kapali 44) beat India XI 164 for 9 (Sathish 44, Mosharraf 3-48) by five wickets

ICL Bangladesh win by 5 wickets with 3 balls to spare
