Toss Vettori has won the toss and NZ will bat first. “I don’t think it [toss] will dictate the game; we still have to get out there and do the job like Sri Lanka did the other day.”
Dhoni: “Most of our players work with Air India and we played the corporate Trophy recently … Dravid is the most stable and technically sound. He is a kind of batsman who would look to take his innings till the end. He will support the middle-order and help the flashy players play their game. “

ICC World Twenty20, 2nd Match, Group D: New Zealand v Scotland at The Oval, Jun 6, 2009 Highlights
Watch cricket highlights – New Zealand vs Scotland – from the 2009 T20 World Cup.
Scotland 89/4 (7/7 ov)
New Zealand 90/3 (6.0/7 ov)
New Zealand won by 7 wickets (with 6 balls remaining)
Hamilton: "We had plenty of runs. We had a plan of around 75-80, but it just didn’t come off in the end. We were well aware of New Zealand’s potential but we didn’t execute our plans quite well. "
McCullum: "We were pretty nervous at around half time. They put us under pressure, we need to rectify our bowling a bit. We didn’t have a lot of time to get ourselves in, but Ryder struck the ball really well. We needed a 11-an-over towards the end, but in the context of the game that’s pretty under-par. Hopefully, we can put our best performance against South Africa."
Ian Butler is the Man of the Match.
Butler: "We were just trying to restrict their batsmen. The next game is a massive one for us."

Rajasthan Royals vs Bangalore Highlights – Indian Premier League – 2nd match Played at Newlands, Cape Town on 18 April 2009
Watch cricket highlights – Rajasthan Royals vs Bangalore Royal Challengers – from the opening day of the IPL.
Scoreline: Bangalore 133/8 – Rahul Dravid 66, Kevin Pietersen 32. Rajasthan 58 all out. Anil Kumble 3.1-1-5-5
Oh, the irony of it all. Test player Rahul Dravid and former Royal Challengers captain takes his team out of a 0/2 situation (with support from KP). And then the forcibly-retired Anil Kumble cleans up the last 5 wickets after Praveen Kumar and Jesse Ryder set up the humiliating defeat for the Royals. It was also ironical that Bangalore who had suffered a similar loss on the opening day of IPL 2008 were able to get one back on the opening day, the next year around. Dravid on reaching his 50 stuck his bat out like a horizontal middle-finger – surely it wasn’t at Vijay Mallya. Funny sarcasm from Dravid at the Man of the Match presentation in the 2nd video.
The two greatest leggies of all time were on show today in all their retired pre-retirement brilliance.
Shane Warne: "It was pretty disappointing. As champions, we wanted to impose ourselves but Bangalore bowled very well. It was pretty embarassing for us really. We should still have won despite the conditions, batting under lights. We need to have a serious look at the top three or four and some shot selection. We’ll work on it and I promise we’ll come back better."
Kevin Pietersen: "The boys played fantastic cricket. Rahul was outstanding and Ryder was fantastic. We just wanted to hit it hard, take wickets and see where we would end up. Praveen’s a fantastic bowler, very clever. You can’t buy Kumble’s experience, he’s a legend. We’ll try to do as best as we can, but there are some areas we can improve in, especially in the batting department."
Dravid is the Man of the Match.
Dravid: "I’m happy with the way I’m hitting it and it was good to get the team out of the hole. This was always going to be a good score in the conditions, you’ve got to play proper cricket, as it’s not going to be easy hitting every ball. It all worked out well, and it was a good start to the tournament. The bowlers responded well and it was just brilliant."

ICL World Series, 2008, ICL India vs ICL Pakistan, 2nd Match, Highlights
Well it was indeed a close game. India won the toss and elected to field. They got off to a good start by removing the danger man Nazir early but Rana Naved made the most of his rich form. However, Pakistan lost wickets regularly and this was despite the fact that India dropped a lot of catches. 165 was never going to be too tough an ask and the Rayudu-Khaleel partnership made things easier. But there was twist in the tale again as India lost a few wickets but Badani sealed the match with some fantastic strokeplay.
Ambati Rayudu is the Man of the Match for his outstanding innings that set the platform for the run chase. India lost wickets regularly but Rayudu held fort and ensured that they do not falter.
