Watch Highlights of 22nd match: Chennai Super Kings v Rajasthan Royals at Centurion, Apr 30, 2009

Watch cricket highlights – Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings Highlights from IPL 2009.

Scoreline: Chennai 164/5 – Suresh Raina 98 (55), Badrinath 29 (27)
Rajasthan fell way short – 126 all out (Kamran didn’t bat) – Laxmipathy Balaji 3.3-21-4, Albie Morkel 4-21-2

Shane Warne: "I thought at 104 in 16 overs they should have made just 130 but our bowling was ordinary at that stage. We left a little too much to do at rhe end. We just didn’t match those guys for intensity."

Dhoni: "Our bowling was on the mark. Everybody contributed. Raina played a brilliant knock. Feels good to win after losing three games."

Raina is the Man of the Match. Who else? "I made sure I hung around till the end and Badri played well too. With the Champions Trophy back in SA later this year it’s important we pick up everything from here now."

Today’s match Chennai Super Kings should win the game with good run rate then they can move up in the Points Table and reach the No.4 position. If it loses this match then it will remain at the same place below Bangalor Royal Challengers. I expect M.Vjay to play the game instead of Badrinath and also since M.S.Dhoni is doing the keeping why dont they replace Parthiv Patel with anothe indian player like vidyut sivaramakrishnan who played well in last season.

ICL Chandigarh Lions vs Royal Bengal Tigers, 22nd Match Highlights

October 29th, 2008 Comments Off Posted in 20-20, ICL, Twenty 20

Oct 28, 2008, Tue (ICL Match 22) Royal Bengal Tigers lost to Chandigarh Lions by eight wickets with 2.3 overs to spare  in a day and night encounter at the Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Gurgaon on Tuesday.

Lions opener Tejinder Pal Singh, with his knock of 74 runs off 48 balls, took his team to an emphatic victory over Tigers.

His knock contained eight boundaries and two sixes.

Lions got off to a flying start as Sarabjit Singh (19) and Tejinder put on 53 runs for the first wicket off 7.1 overs.

Sarbajit was caught in the deep by Sagar Singh off Eklak.

Manish Sharma (25), who came in at this stage, kept the rhythm going with Tejinder, but he also holed out to Ahmid at boundary off Chandana when the Lions were on 92.

Then, Tejinder and Lou Vincent (14) steered their team to victory without losing any further wickets.

Earlier, Royal Bengal Tigers, who were put into bat by Chandigarh Lions, lost their opener Deep Dasgupta (5) cheaply to Darryl Tuffey caught behind by wicketkeeper Sarabjit Singh

But the other opener Hamish Marshall, in particular, and Rajiv Kumar (14) stabilized their innings putting on 62 runs for the second wicket.

Marshall, however, got out trying to slog Tuffey only to give a catch to Love Ablish.

He made 57 off 34 balls with eight boundaries and two sixes and got out when the score of Tigers was 100.

After addition of just one run, skipper Craig McMillan (1) and Rohan Gavaskar (17) fell to Tejinder of successive balls putting Tigers on back foot.

Andre Adams (9), Shiv Sagar Singh (2), Upul Chandana (3) and Abu Nechim (1) fell quickly frittering away the good start given by Marshall.

Lance Klusener remained unbeaten on 18 and Eklak Ahmid on one as Tigers ended their innings on 140 for nine in their stipulated 20 overs.

Karanveer Singh was the most expensive bowler for Lions conceding 30 runs off three overs. Hall, Tuffey, Ablish and Tejinder shared two wickets each.

Tejinder Pal Singh was awarded the ‘man of the match’ for his important knock and two wickets while bowling.
