Watch cricket highlights: India vs New Zealand T20 Highlights from Christchurch played on February 25, 2009.

Scoreline: India 162. Suresh Raina 61 (43). NZ win with relative ease with an over to go – Brendon McCullum 56, Guptill 41 (28), Ross Taylor 31 (20), Jacob Oram 29 (15)

Sehwag pulled out the costliest 1st over in intl T20 (19 runs) with 3 huge sixes off his 1st 3 deliveries faced. In fact, the Indians whacked 13 6’s in contrast to a total of 6 fours, while appearing that they too believed in the crush-em hype riding this tour. Could have been a humbling 1st knock in NZ for India, had it not been for Raina picking things up right at the end. Yusuf Pathan also strutted his stuff with 3 huge blows before Jacob Oram did what Adam Voges did during the Aus vs NZ T20 game to end Yusuf’s quest for six sixes in an over.

The NZ chase centred around a subdued McCullum (relative to, say, the Bangalore vs Kolkata IPL match). India never seriously were allowed to threaten cos of the consistent partnerships on a day that saw Oram too, announce his return. With McCullum batting through the innings, a win was obvious – how fast remained the only question. By an over was the answer.

India vs New Zealand, 1st T20, Live Cricket Streaming

India last toured New Zealand 7 years back and it was disastrous for the Indian batsman except Sehwag. And lot has changed after that, lot’s of new players and a new captain and not to mention new costume.

Kiwis did a decent job recently but they don’t have as good track record as India in recent times and they lost last 3 ODI’s and a T20 against Australia.

This tour will be real test for Dhoni and team India who hasn’t played much outside subcontinent in recent times.

ICL Lahore Badshahs vs Hyderabad Heroes, 1st T20, Match Highlights

October 12th, 2008 Comments Off Posted in 20-20, ICL, Match Highlights, Twenty 20

October 11 (1400 hrs) Hyderabad Heroes defeated Lahore Badshahs by 18 runs in the power-disrupted opening game of the Indian Cricket League’s (ICL) Season 2 Twenty20 tournament in Hyderabad on Friday. The Heroes were declared winners in accordance with the VJD method after four floodlights went off all of a sudden during the second innings of the match with the Lahore team two down for 30 runs in their six overs.Earlier, invited to bat first, the Heroes posted a total of 166 runs, thanks to the 102-run partnership off just 70 balls between local boy Ambati Rayudu and opener Jimmy Maher. Rayudu, declared Man of the Match for his sparkling 58 runs off 42 deliveries, provided sport aficionados great fun with some spectacular strokes. Pacers Mohammed Sami and Naved-ul-Hasan scalped two wickets each, while Azhar Mahmood picked up a wicket for the Badshahs.Chasing the moderate total, Lahore Badshahs suffered early blows with the Hyderabad bowlers Abdul Razzaq and Stuart Binny claiming Imran Farahat and Shahid Yousuf’s wickets in first two overs.Imran Nazir remained not out on 19, while captain Inzamam-ul-Haq was batting on nine, when the massive power-failure in the city left the Lal Bahadur Shastri stadium plunging into darkness after the sixth over.
