5th ODI: England v South Africa at Cardiff, Sep 3, 2008
The contest is a dead-rubber with a difference. England are one win away from inflicting a 5-0 whitewash on their illustrious opponents, and if they can pull it off, they will climb to the dizzying heights of No. 2 in the world. It’s hard to believe, I know, but that’s what the inpenetrable workings of the ICC Rankings would have us believe, and who are we to argue?
One major obstacle will be the weather, which - not to put too fine a point on it - is forecasted to be dismal. And yet, with an hour to go until the start of play, there are beautiful blue skies hanging over Cardiff. All that could change with unseemly haste of course, but for the time being the omens are good.
Australia vs Bangladesh, 2nd ODI, Free Live Cricket Streaming
After looking at the Bangladesh performance in last match against Australia in which Bangladesh could not even score 100, I’m losing trust in them day after day about their winning chances and I don’t even remember when they won their last ODI match and the best I could remember is World Cup 2007. The real problem for them is poor batting, bowling is okay with Shahadat going all guns blazing right from South Africa tour but no one from batting could deliver a good innings till date from then.
If Aussies manage to win this one (Which I think they will), they not only win the series but also chance for Whitewash.
